There are even desserts that won’t be needing the oven at all. So if you are not a fan of pre-heat this and pre-heat that, no-bake desserts are the way to go.
Here’s a step-by-step process of preparing those sweet desserts.
One bowl chocolate cake
Craving for a something sweet? Chocolate cake will never disappoint. This no-fail dessert is very easy to whip up and all it takes is a single bowl.
Take note of the ingredients and directions that you’ll need to make this rich and moist chocolate cake.
Pre-heat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, throw in the dry ingredients: 2 cups of white sugar, 1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ cups of unsweetened cocoa, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda, and a teaspoon of salt. Stir them together. Add the wet ingredients: 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, ½ cup vegetable oil, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix them in a mixer for two minutes using medium speed. Lastly, stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Pour the batter evenly on greased pans.
Bake the mixture for 30 – 35 minutes in the pre-heated oven. After the toothpick tests are perfect, let the cake cool completely. Add desired frosting.
Including prep time, making this all-time favorite dessert should only take an hour.
Chewy and fudgy cookies
Cookies are another all-time favorite. You can bring them at work or have your kids bring them to school. They are tasty and easy to consume.
If you like them chewy and fudgy, that’s easy. Let’s start with the classic chocolate fudge cookies.
In a medium bowl, mix together 1 pack of devil’s food cake mix, 2 eggs, and ½ cup vegetable oil. Fold in the chocolate chips. After this, roll the dough mixture into small balls and place them at least two inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake them for eight to ten minutes in an oven that is already pre-heated to 350° F. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about five minutes before removing them to cool completely. Making these fudgy cookies only takes 20 minutes.
Another classic baking recipe is peanut butter cookies. Did you know that you can make them using just three ingredients?
Pre-heat the oven to 350° F. In a bowl, mix 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, and 1 egg. Mix them using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Roll the mixture into small balls and set them on a greased baking sheet. Flatten each ball using a fork. Bake them for 10 minutes and let them cool on the baking sheet for two minutes before moving them to a plate to cool completely. Again, this recipe would just take 20 minutes to prepare.
If you are not a fan of baking, you can go for no-bake cookies. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix in 2 cups white sugar, ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa, ½ cup milk, and ½ cup margarine. Bring it to a boil and stir occasionally. After boiling for one minute, remove the mixture from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, pinch of salt, ½ cup peanut butter, and 3 cups quick cooking oats. Set spoonfuls of the mixture onto a waxed paper and allow them to cool for an hour.
No-bake goodies
Speaking of no-bake cookies, there are other no-bake desserts that you can whip us easily.
If you can’t decide between chocolate and peanut butter, why not have both? In just 10 minutes, you can have your homemade Reese’s. Line your 8x8 pan with aluminium foil, and then set aside. In a medium-sized bowl, microwave ½ cup or 1 stick of butter for about one minute until it is melted. Add in one cup of peanut butter, 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, and 1 cup powdered sugar. Stir it well before setting it evenly on the pan and placing it on the refrigerator.
In a small bowl, microwave 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter for under a minute. Stir it until it achieves a smooth texture. Spread it over you’re your pan mixture, chill for an hour, cut into rectangles, and serve.
